“I want to give back to the community that shaped me” – Rep. Marla Brown 

Elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in January 2023, Rep. Marla Brown has earned a reputation as a principled conservative and strong advocate for Lawrence County. She is committed to strengthening families, supporting small businesses, growing the local economy and ensuring the region has a strong voice in Harrisburg.
 
Since taking office, Brown has helped secure approximately $45 million in state grants and funding for local businesses, nonprofits, schools, municipalities and first responders. She has championed legislation to support families, including House Bill 488 to assist grandparents raising their grandchildren, while advocating for policies that encourage job creation, reduce unnecessary regulations and strengthen Pennsylvania's economy.
 
Brown brings more than 30 years of private-sector and nonprofit leadership experience to the Legislature. She worked in her family's business, spent 15 years as an executive with UPS, owned and operated a successful medical spa, and served as chief executive officer of a nonprofit Catholic pro-life organization, where she tripled its growth and expanded services.
 
A strong conservative, Brown is pro-life, supports the Second Amendment, opposes the legalization of recreational marijuana and believes government should protect individual freedoms while remaining accountable to taxpayers.
 
Brown serves on the House Appropriations, Aging and Older Adult Services, Commerce, Health and State Government committees. She remains active in the community by volunteering, teaching fitness classes at the YMCA and serving at Holy Spirit Parish.
 
Brown returned to Lawrence County in 2018 to give back to the community that shaped her. She and her husband, Greg, live in New Castle and are the proud parents of three children and grandparents to one grandchild.
