Brown Highlights Impact Fee Funding for Lawrence County Communities

HARRISBURG - Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) today announced more than $612,000 in Marcellus Shale impact fee revenue is headed to communities throughout the 9th Legislative District and Lawrence County. Municipalities in the district will receive more than $308,000, while Lawrence County will receive more than $304,000 through the impact fee program.

That is why my Republican colleagues and I are working on a package of bills which cut sales taxes for families in areas which would collectively save the ordinary, everyday family $1,100 this year. We are talking about cutting taxes on gas, electricity, cell phone bills, personal income tax, and certain items subject to sales tax.

Brown Announces PENNVEST Funding for New Castle Lead Water Line Replacement

April 15, 2026

NEW CASTLE - Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) today announced Pennsylvania American Water Company will receive more than $8.9 million in financial support through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to replace lead water service lines throughout the City of New Castle. The funding includes a low-interest loan of $5.2 million and a grant of $3.8 million.

HARRISBURG – To protect children in the Commonwealth from becoming victims of heinous sexual crimes, Reps.
