Brown Applauds Funding for Wilmington Township's Road Paving, Bridge Replacement Projects

LAWRENCE COUNTY – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) is pleased to announce Wilmington Township will receive $497,630 from the Multimodal Transportation Fund to support a vital road paving and bridge replacement project. This grant will help improve infrastructure in the township, enhancing safety, accessibility and long-term economic development for residents and local businesses.

“These investments are key to fostering safer travel and creating a more resilient community,” said Brown. “The road paving and bridge replacement project will not only address aging infrastructure but also ensure Wilmington Township remains connected and accessible for years to come. It’s a win for public safety and the local economy.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund, which is managed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, helps support local and regional transportation improvements throughout Pennsylvania. This funding is part of the state’s commitment to investing in infrastructure projects that boost economic development and improve quality of life for communities across the Commonwealth.
